A happy 2016 to all members!!!

The official training sessions begin again this week and we hope that after the break ye are all raring to go and get at it again. There will be the usual offering of sessions to start us off and the pace should not be too hectic so as to break it all back in nice and gently!!!

We will be making a few changes to the set-up for the schedule and on the site but will keep you informed of this later in the week…

It is a hope that the club will target a number of the events during the year and in order to do so we would ask that any member hoping to undertake any races this year that they keep an eye on the site for events that we will be targeting. There is nothing better than having a good showing of club members!!

At this point we would also ask that anyone who has not taken out membership in the club for the year to do so and if you have not yet registered with Triathlon Ireland / Cycling Ireland for the year to also do so….

 

Novice run and bike sessions:

We will be starting straight back with novice sessions for both the run and bike this week, and all we can hope is that weather is somewhat kinder than it has been over the last months.

Again, these sessions are for those that are not at a level to take part in the main cycle or run and are open to all members and n0n-members. So if you know anyone who has getting fit as part of their New Years resolution, then nab them now before the enthusiasm fades away!!

Swimming sessions: 2  morning sessions this week. 2 of the previous sessions in order to ease us back into it. The sessions for the first few months will follow a similar pattern to those previously undertaken.

Running session: 1 session this week, a 600m session. The novice run will be taking place at the same time and will be a 400m session.

Day Morning Evening
 Monday  Circuit training: 7 to 8pm in running complex
Tuesday Morning Swim – 6:30 – 7:30 – Pool Cycling: Turbo training in running complex from 7:30 – 8:30pmJunior CC  Turbo from 6 to 7 in complex
Wednesday Swim: 8:00pm in Nenagh Leisure Centre – suitable for beginners.
Thursday Morning Swim – 6:30 – 7:30 – Pool Running: interval based run set starts at 6:30pm at the Tech (Nenagh College). Novice Run: 6:30pm at the Tech (Nenagh College)
Friday
Saturday Main Club Cycle – 9am – Abbey Court Hotel.Novice Cycle: 11am – Abbey Court Junior CC training – every 2nd Saturday 2.30

Sunday              Ras training group cycle (advanced cyclists) – 8am Tescos
