Weekly schedule: 

Apologies for the delay in notes this week…..but better late than never!!!

Another good turn up for sessions apart from the washout that was the weekend!!! We will attempt again to run the usual sessions this coming weekend but keep an eye on the site for weather updates.

The Turkey run is on this coming week and given the very good numbers (30+ between the 2 groups!!) at the run sessions we are hoping for a good club showing at this event. Starting at 12pm and with 3 distances (5k, 10k, half marathon) there is a distance for all so get registering if you have not done so…..the website details are below.


Birdhill Turkey Run

Novice run and bike sessions:

Another great crowed at our novice run on Thursday evening and we introduced the fartlek session. We have 2 session left and will focus on shorter work so if you want to improve your running there is still time to make a start prior to the Christmas break.

The novice cycle was again postponed on account of the rain. We will attempt to go again this coming week weather permitting, so watch this space!!

Again, these sessions are being offered to anyone who has an interest in improving their running and cycling, both members and non-members so if you know anyone who might be interested then let them know!! We intend to run similar sessions after the break and in return would hope that anyone taking part in the sessions consider joining the club and to commit to undertaking a duathlon / triathlon / run / aquathon / adventure race of some description during the year.


Swimming sessions: 2  morning sessions this week. Tuesday will be a stroke development set while Thursday is an aerobic base session.  Again a reminder that the session has moved and is now a START TIME  6.30!!!!!!



Running session: 1 session this week, a 30min continuous fartlek session. The novice run will be taking place at the same time and will be an introduction to 400m repeats

Day Morning Evening
 Monday  Circuit training: 7 to 8pm in running complex
Tuesday Morning Swim – 6:30 – 7:30 – Pool Cycling: Turbo training in running complex from 7:30 – 8:30pmJunior CC  Turbo from 6 to 7 in complex
Wednesday Swim: 8:00pm in Nenagh Leisure Centre – suitable for beginners.
Thursday Morning Swim – 6:30 – 7:30 – Pool Running: interval based run set starts at 6:30pm at the Tech (Nenagh College). Novice Run: 6:30pm at the Tech (Nenagh College)
Saturday Main Club Cycle – 9am – Abbey Court Hotel.Novice Cycle: 11am – Abbey Court Junior CC training – every 2nd Saturday 2.30

Sunday              Ras training group cycle (advanced cyclists) – 8am Tescos
