Weekly schedule: 

Another week down and again good turn outs so well done all…especially as its not easy with the short days and weather conditions have not been the best this week.

Novice run and bike sessions:

3 specific novice / beginner sessions this week. Wednesday swimming at 8pm. Running on Thursday at 6.30 at the Tech entrance. Cycling on Saturday at 11am from the Abbey court. These sessions are open to members and non-members so if you know anyone not involved with the club who would be interested then let them know!!

Brick session:

It is hoped to run the second of our specific triathlon brick sessions this weekend on Sunday if the weather permits. More information on this later in the week.

Swimming sessions: 2  morning sessions this week. Tuesday will be an aerobic strength set while Thursday stroke development.















Running session: 1 session that will be a new introduction to the routine, a 4k fitness test. This is a continuous run of 4k and requires a heart rate monitor. The 4k will be a continuous run with heart rate maintained at 150bpm for the entire distance and the time recorded. We will repeat this test a number of times over the season to monitor for improvement. If you do not have a heart rate monitor then it will just be a straight medium paced 4k effort. This will be based around the 2k Dromin road loop from the entrance to the Tech to the bypass junction.

 Monday  Circuit training: 7 to 8pm in running complex
Tuesday Morning Swim – 6:40 – 7:30 – Pool Cycling: Turbo training in running complex from 7:30 – 8:30pmJunior CC  Turbo from 6 to 7 in complex
Wednesday Swim: 8:00pm in Nenagh Leisure Centre – suitable for beginners.
Thursday Morning Swim – 6:40 – 7:30 – Pool Running: interval based run set starts at 6:30pm at the Tech (Nenagh College). Novice Run: 6:30pm at the Tech (Nenagh College)
Saturday Main Club Cycle – 9am – Abbey Court Hotel.

Novice Cycle: 11am – Abbey Court

Junior CC training – every 2nd Saturday 2.30

Sunday              Ras training group cycle (advanced cyclists) – 8am Tescos
