Weekly schedule: 

Another week down and again good turn outs at the majority of club sessions…we are just about at the half way point of the winter training schedule that will lead us up to Christmas so keep it up and well done to all!! And to keep things motivated we are targeting specific events with the first of these being the Birdhill turkey run (5k, 10k, half-marathon) on Sunday 6th December. There are only 5 weeks left and we hope to have a good showing from the club at all distances!!!

Novice run and bike sessions:

On a number of occasions we have promised that we will be introducing run and bike sessions for more novice members. We have not forgotten about this and are currently organising a 5 week schedule that will commence next week. There will be one run session and one bike session weekly in addition to the already up and running swim session on Wednesday. We will give full details later in the week.


Swimming sessions: 2  morning sessions this week. Tuesday will be a high intensity interval set while Thursday is the increasing distance swim set.




Running session: 1 session that will be a aerobic fartlek session (25min continuous running). This will be based around the 2k Dromin road loop from the entrance to the Tech to the bypass junction.


The full weekly schedule:

Day Morning Evening
 Monday  Circuit training: 7 to 8pm in running complex
Tuesday Morning Swim – 6:40 – 7:30 – Pool Cycling: Turbo training in running complex from 7:30 – 8:30pmJunior CC  Turbo from 6 to 7 in complex
Wednesday Swim: 8:00pm in Nenagh Leisure Centre – suitable for beginners.
Thursday Morning Swim – 6:40 – 7:30 – Pool Running: interval based run set starts at 6:30pm at the Tech (Nenagh College).
Saturday Main Club Cycle – 9am – Abbey Court Hotel Junior CC training – every 2nd Saturday 2.30

Sunday              Ras training group cycle (advanced cyclists) – 8am Tescos
