Weekend Training

It has been a great week so far for training, with big numbers at all our training sessions. It hasn’t been easy getting back into the swing of things but stick with it. The weekend is traditionally when we get our bikes out and hit the road and this weekend is no different. We have a range of cycling activities taking place for all levels of cyclists.

Saturday

Novice Cycle: starts at 11:00am at the hotel. If you are looking to get into cycling or are just looking to improve your cycling then target this session. This cycle will be at a much easier pace and shorter distance than the senior cycle. There will be two different route options available.

Senior Cycle: start time 9:00am at the hotel (8:00am start for the rás team)

Groups – depend on the amount of cyclists that turn up. We would hope to have 3 similar ability groups on the road. Groups will be decided upon before leaving the hotel.

Route

We are heading for Roscrea – Thurles – Kilcommon -Dolla tomorrow. For those looking to ease your way back into it you can turn around at Roscrea or head for Nenagh once we hit Thurles. There will be two interval sessions. With the first one going from Roscrea to Thurles (split at the roundabouts in Roscrea). The second interval will go from Ballycahill to Dolla. Cool down then from Dolla to Nenagh.
