The weather looks decent for this weekend so we hope to continue our cycling renaissance. The bright evenings have been great for getting out mid-week and we will be out on the roads again this evening. We hope to have big crowds at training this weekend and no doubt there will be decent numbers taking on the Visit Nenagh Classic challenge. Have a good weekend on the bike!
Friday: Meet at Stereame at 6:15. Quick 1:30 set so back home at around 7:45. This is likely to be the last Friday evening session as the Nenagh Summer League kicks off next Thursday so we will be changing around the training days a little.
Saturday: meet at 9:00 at the hotel.
Route: we will be heading towards Roscrea – Birr – Portumna – Terryglass – Puckaun – Nenagh. It’s a pretty long one so we will be working quite hard for a lot of it. Expect to roll from Roscrea back to Nenagh. We hope to have two groups on the road.
Sunday: meet at 8:00 at Tescos. We will be doing the extended lake route. If you are doing La Marmotte or an Ironman try to commit to doing the full distance. We need to start increasing our endurance a lot over the next few weeks (just 11 weeks left to the Marmotte). The full distance will take us over to Dolla (where we might throw in one extra hill this week).
Racing: Visit Nenagh Classic. Best of luck to all club members that will be taking part in this tough local race. Full details are below.
