The opening weekend of racing is always a big one for the club. Pre-race nerves are in the air. There is also plenty of excitement too. A new season means new possibilities. Can I improve on last year? Can I get that promotion? Can I hang on? All that will be answered over the next few weeks and months. No matter how racing goes this weekend, don’t read too much into the result. If things go well – fantastic but it’s only early season and some people are only starting to get going. You might just be further along in your training program. If things go badly – so what? you didn’t think this was going to be easy did you? Don’t let any result affect your long-term goals. Keep training. Keep things consistent.
Time: 9:00 at the hotel.
Weather forecast: is not looking promising as of now but things can change. As always, check out our Facebook and Viber accounts for updates.
Route: we will tackle one of the easier routes on Saturday – Nenagh, Roscrea, Birr, Borrisokane, Nenagh. There will be two roll over sessions as usual but I would imagine the pace will be well down on normal. We might look at having two big groups on the road for the rolling over, instead of 3. All depends on numbers and it is hard to predict those with the weather and racing season starting.
