Weekend Cycling

The big race this bank holiday weekend is the Suir Valley 3 Day event in Clonmel. We have a team entered in that race and wish the lads the very best of luck. Daniel is also in racing action at the Errigal 3 Day event in Donegal. There will also be the usual training sessions to choose from.

Training: meet at the hotel at 9:00am

Route: we will be heading over to Dunkerrin where we take a left and head towards Shinrone. Before Shinrone we turn back towards Cloughjordan. Some cyclists might turn for home at this point. The rest continue over the Borrisokane, Carrigahorig, Terrglass, Coolbaun Puckaun and Nenagh. If there are sufficient numbers, break into two groups at Dunkerrin and Carrigahorig.

Training: meet at Tescos at 8:00am. Likely route = the lake.

Racing this Weekend

On Saturday there is the Mountnugent GP up in Navan.

On Sunday there is the Oldcastle GP in Co. Meath.

Errigal International Youth Tour: Daniel Yon Hin is on his way up already to Letterkenny for this big 3 day event in Donegal. The race starts tomorrow and the U/14 race will be stacked full of top riders from Ireland and abroad. This is a big step up for Daniel so fingers crossed everything goes well for him.

Suir Valley 3 Day: Eamon Hartnett, Matty Kennedy, Dan Hogan and Shane Scully are heading down to thisĀ  top quality race in South Tipp. They will be up against top teams from the UK and Ireland. There are 4 stages over 3 days to tackle and no doubt the lads will give it their best shot. It will be a great learning experience for the team but don’t be expecting any results. Survival is all we they are aiming for!
