Weekend Cycling

The weather is looking good for tomorrow. France, Kilkee and the National Champs are taking place so numbers out for training might be down a little. That makes it all the more important that you turn up if you can.

France Trip: a group of 9 cyclists from the club are heading over to the Alps for a week long cycling holiday. They will be taking on all the well known big climbs such as Alpe D’Huez and the Gallibier. I am sure they will come back with great memories from the trip. Will Rymer will be keeping us up to date with what is happening over there. We have asked him to produce photographic evidence of them on the top of each climb.

National Champs: Best of luck to Eamon and Dan in the vets race tomorrow. There is a huge entry of 169 cyclists for this race up in Kildare. The standard will be high so the lads will need to be on good form.

Other then the National Champs, there are no races on this weekend, so come out training with the club instead!

Training: starts at 9:00 from the hotel

Route: we will be doing the Broadford route tomorrow. Anyone looking for a shorter one can turn at O’Brien’s Bridge.

Training: meet at Tescos at 8:00am

Route: we will be back doing the lake route this Sunday. An oldie but a goodie, with a stop in Mountshannon.
