Weekend Cycling

Fingers crossed the forecast for this weekend is right as we are due some bright, sunny weather. Light winds on Saturday should make for a different race in terms of tactics. It’s hard to call a winner in that one. Sunday then is a big cycle down to Tipp town. It’s gonna be grrreat!

Saturday Cycle – Winter Warriors Cup: Race 2

The 2nd of our 3 pre-season races takes place this coming Saturday. We are meeting at 9:00am at the pool and cycling out to Moneygall and back to the start line outside Toom. There will be 4 separate groups on the road – juniors, women, men 1, men 2. Handicaps will be bigger this time but the front bunches will also be expected to work a little harder this time and not just wait to be caught!!!! Kenneth Kennedy is the defending champ but anyone from a list of 10 could easily take the win this time. If the front groups work hard together they could easily stay away.

Please come out and support this race if you can. Spread the word. All welcome.

Sunday Cycle – we are going for a long one on Sunday down towards Tipperary town. We will be leaving Tescos at 8:00am. There will be a food stop in Hospital, so bring some money. We will be throwing in some interval sessions on this spin with the racing group also tackling the longer, hillier route through the Glen of Aherlow.
