Weekend Cycling

Club members will be scattered all over the country this weekend at races and sportives. Hopefully we still have a few around town for our club cycles. No matter what part of the country you are cycling – best of luck with it and do the club proud!

Saturday

training: slight change of plan for this one. There has been a request for an earlier start time for this week so that the group can cycle over to the Cut and Wolftrap hills. All club members should meet at 8:00am at the hotel. When the group gets to Kinnitty ye can all decide what ye want to do – some might head for home, some might tackle the hills. Do what suits. For those doing the full route, there will be a coffee stop somewhere on route.

Training weekend in Kerry: a sizeable group from the club are heading down to Kerry for the bank holiday to get in some long hilly miles before the summer trip to France. They will be taking part in a sportive down there too so best of luck at that.

Racing: the Ballinrobe 3 Day kicks off tomorrow afternoon. We have a team of 6 in this race. It is the final big warm-up before the rás so the lads will be looking to get on well.

Sunday

training: you will need to keep an eye out on Viber to see if there is a club cycle on Sunday morning. Many of the regular Sunday cyclists will be gone so I am not sure if this will go ahead.
