That sure was a tough one this evening. There was a murderous head wind on the way back from Toomevara which sapped every last bit of energy out of the 16 entrants in today’s time trial. Numbers were down on usual, but as this race is sandwiched in between two highly important National Series races and the Visit Nenagh Classic we will forgive people for chickening out!
So were the times pure rubbish or what?
Not quite. Most times were well down on last week but some lads produced fantastic rides to lower their pbs. Dan Hogan and Eoin Woolley were the firt two riders on the course. They were tackling Seanins again. Dan, with the aid of old man Butler’s bike, produced a fantastic time of 55:44. Eoin unfortunately punctured out. Mike Brown and Ross O’Meara were the only lads over the 14 mile route to improve on their times from the previous week. The fastest male time went to Shane Scully and the fastest female time went to nobody because they were all too scared to do it! There were 6 that took on the 9 mile route with Johnny Meaghar and Majella Moyles fastest. Sheila Gregan was the only person to bring down her time on this course.
