Thursday Cycling

Nenagh Summer League: the final race of the Nenagh Summer League takes place this evening at 7:00pm at Gooig. It’s your last chance to test yourself at this tough race.

We need one more marshal for this race so if you have never marshaled at this before then it would be great to see you out at this.

Junior Training Today: the final junior training session of this season takes place today at 2:00pm at the Five Alley. Try your best to make it. We are going to finish with a team time trial just like they did at the Visit Nenagh Classic last year. The winning time last year was 35:57, set by the Dutch team NWVG Bike4Air. The slowest time on that circuit was 49:45. Can our young lads get close to that time? We will see.

Other cycling events: we were asked to give a shout out to an upcoming cycling event – www.shannonsuircycle.ie. This cycle is in aid of the North Tipperary Hospice which, as we all know, is a very worthy cause. The cycle is all of 122km but there are options for all levels of fitness as participants will be welcome to take on any individual leg. It will take place on the 13th of September 2014.
