Nenagh CC Updates

This Internet nerd has been stuck in bed for the weekend with a self-inflicted illness, so I haven’t a clue how things went in the cycling club over the weekend. I am going to go out on a limb and say that nobody died and everyone had a fantastic time at whatever they were doing. A controversial statement, I know.

  • Tuesday – Limerick Summer League or club cycle (ask on viber for details)
  • Thursday – Nenagh Summer League
  • Saturday – club training at 9:00 from the hotel
  • Sunday – club training at 8:00 from Tescos / racing: the National Champs are on next weekend so there won’t be any other races on the calendar. Put in a big weekend of training with the club instead!!

Nenagh CC will once again be hosting our youth races out on the Toomevara circuit. The race takes place two weeks from now. We would love to see as many of our youth riders taking part as possible. We will also be needing a few volunteers to help out at the race.

When? Sunday, July 3rd.

Weekend Racing

The munster champs took place in Blarney on Sunday.

Blarney – Senior races: Denis Allen and Eamon Hartnett took part in the main A1, A2, A3 event down in Blarney. In what was a very aggressive race in tough conditions, Denis did well to finish in the bunch with Eamon finishing a bit behind that.

Blarney – youths: Odie and Daniel were in the U/14 race and did the club proud as usual. Odie finished unplaced but Daniel managed a fine 5th place finish overall against some tough competition.
