Despite the bad weather there was a strong turn out for the first of our Monday evening running sessions. 16 club members were put through their paces by Shane up in the CBS. We hope to grow this number to 20+ over the coming weeks. The session consisted of a warm-up, drills, short strides, stretching, longer intervals and a cool down. Hopefully most of ye didn’t over do it on the first evening on the track. Take it easy for the first few weeks and build up the intensity slowly.
Training with a group is great for motivation and the interval training that we do is perfect for those looking to improve their run times. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t run with us before as newcomers are more than welcome. The running scene is booming countrywide. Record numbers are doing running races, marathons, adventure races etc. We hope to greatly improve the running scene in Nenagh for adults. So come and join us.
