The Lough Derg Sprint is an open water sprint triathlon that takes place in Dromineer (close to Nenagh) annually. As with any event the Nenagh Triathlon Club organise, we pride ourselves in providing a low cost, high quality race. This is one of Ireland’s cheapest races to do – we care about making our races affordable not profitable. If this is an ideal that appeals to you then we would appreciate your support at this race.

New in 2017!
This year we plan to introduce a new element to the Lough Derg race in the form of a “try a tri”. This beginner friendly event is aimed at those new to the sport of triathlon and is suitable for all basic level athletes.
Distance: 300m Swim – 15k Bike – 3k Run
The swim takes place at the Lake front beside transition and is a lapped course between 2 markers with the water level always at chest height level and so is ideal for those who are new to open water swimming. The bike and run take place on the same route as the sprint race, only the distances are shorter.
So why not take the plunge and join us in Dromineer this June!
