Do you want the good news or the bad news?

The bad news is…….

The North Tipp Sprint is cancelled for 2014.

Reason for cancellation: The Nenagh Leisure Centre is currently closed as it is undergoing renovation work. These works were supposed to be finished in April. However, due to unforeseen circumstances the pool will not be opening until June/July of 2014. Unfortunately this means that we have to cancel our race for 2014. The North Tipp Sprint will be back in 2015 in its original April slot, with a newly renovated pool and brand new town park built beside the pool for you to warm-up in!

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

The good news is……

The Lough Derg Sprint is born

Due to the cancelling of the North Tipp Sprint we have, as a club, made the decision to host an open water triathlon in the summer. This event is called the Lough Derg Sprint and it will take place 4 miles outside of Nenagh in Dromineer. The date for this event is June 21st – the week before Kilkee – what a perfect way to warm-up for the big one!!

We would appreciate your support at this event. As it is a Nenagh Triathlon Club event you know it will be great value for money. The entry fee will be a ridiculously low €29 and we are now open for entries. Help spread the word. Our club look forward to welcoming everyone to the race in 3 months time!
