Club Training weekend Day 1-Feb 20
Training Weekend Day 1
The first training weekend gets underway tomorrow and this is a gentle reminder of what is coming up!!!! All sessions are open to all members and all fitness levels with variations in each session in order to suit both the experienced and more novice club members!!!!
All we can do is hope that the weather is some way manageable for each of the morning sessions. We will take a look at it each morning and give an update via the viber group and on facebook so keep an eye out!!!!

Saturday 20th Feb
Time trial 09:00:
Meeting at the Abbey court at 9am and a warm-up to Toomevara. There will be 2 groups making their way out to Toomevara, a main group and the novice group. Once in Toomevara those doing the 25k route will be started at 1 minute intervals.
When the novice group arrive then the 10k route will commence with riders sent out at 1 minute intervals. If you prefer to band together in groups of 2 that is ok.
A reminder that the 10k route will be directly back into Nenagh while the 25k route will first go out as far as the roundabout in Moneygall and then back into town again. The finish is just before the Applegreen petrol station across from the leisure centre.

Core session / Foam foller massage 15:00:
In the afternoon the first session is a combined core / stretching session followed by demonstration of use of foam rollers for massage therapy.
This session will give a brief outline of appropriate stretches and core stability postures that can be undertaken at home to help develop strength and more importantly prevent injury.
There will be a number of foam rollers available on the day.
Triathlon Presentation 16:30
Lynne Algar will give a presentation on triathlon training and race preparation.
Swim stroke analysis 17:15
A short session on individual tips and stroke analysis will take place after the presentation. So if you wish some basic tips on what your stroke is up to then bring your swim gear.
All the sessions during the training weekend are open to all, both members and non-members.
Keep an eye on the group chat and facebook for weather updates on the morning session and hope to see a good crowd raring to go in the morning!!!!!!!
