Run Training: This evening at 6:15pm in the CBS. This is a ‘must-do’ run session for those looking to do cross country. If you are scared to turn up to this training session then don’t even think about signing up for cross country races!!
Two Big Weekends: So how is your training coming along for our final two big weekends of the year? There is still a 100 mile cycle and a 3k swim to get through before the end of the season. We know most of ye are preparing hard for the club night out, but try and devote a little more time to prep for the other two activities! If there are any kayak / boat owner volunteers out there that could help us out on the day of the swim then that would be great – let Keith Butler know.
Open Water Swimming: Wednesday at 7:00pm & Sunday at 6:00pm. Try and make one (even Scully stopped being a chicken and made the last one).
Dublin City Triathlon: was the big race on this weekend. This race is part of Ireland’s National Series and is also the National Championship Olympic distance race so needless to say, the competition was fierce. The club had 6 members in attendance. Eoin O’Donoghue was first home for the club finishing just outside the top 100 in 106th overall. Next home were Sean Gleeson 233rd, Majella Moyles 294th, Noel Daly 295th and John Ryan.
Worlds End Triathlon: Ross O’Meara represented the club in this sprint distance race in Castlconnell, Co. Limerick. Ross had his best finish to date, finishing in the top 20 in 18th overall.
Sean Kelly Tour: well done to Geraldine Kyne who completed the Sean Kelly Tour in one piece yesterday!
I believe I can fly: Keith Butler defying gravity to get to the top of the Conor pass in Kerry at the weekend.
