Dromineer Triathlon Race 5: This race is cancelled. We will be putting on an open water swim instead in Youghal at 7:00pm.
Running: There will be no official club run on Friday. We are down to just Mondays only. For those looking to focus on cross country – start upping your weekly mileage. Try to get at least 4 – 5 runs in each week. August should be about getting the miles in!
Swimming: Preparations continue for the End of Year Swim. The swim itself is 3km in distance. It is important that if you plan on taking on this challenge you prepare properly for it. There will be a longer option available once again this year for those of you that want to really test yourselves. More details will be given later in the week. Next open water training session: Wednesday, Youghal, 7:00pm
Race Results: It was a quiet weekend in terms of racing with just 4 members in racing action.
Sharon Triathlon (US): Mike Browne is currently on a triathlon world tour. His first race took place in Massachusetts in the US. Mike put in a great effort in the Nenagh colours, finishing in 3rd place overall. Next up for Mike is a race in France.
Bike Racing: 3 club members were in action down in Fermoy on Sunday. Andy McLoughlin, Dan Hogan and Kenneth Kennedy. All 3 finished safely in the bunch with Dan just missing out on points in the sprint finish.
Presentation: The club also made a presentation to Sheila Gregan after the Sunday lake swim in Youghal. The club congratulated Sheil for her great efforts at the recent World Transplant Games in Durban.
