The weather is looking warm and dry for the weekend so expecting to see loads of you out training and/or racing. Here is what the club has on for the weekend….
Training: It’s Dunkerrin, Cloughjordan, Borrisokane, Terryglass route this week. We will split the group in two in Dunkerrin, where each group will roll through from Dunkerrin to Borrisokane. We will then regroup, aiming to meet somewhere along the road to Carrigahorig, where again the group will be split in two for second roll through to Puckane. As per every Saturday morning club cycle, we will meet at hotel at 9:00am. An earlier group will head out at 7:30am from hotel, all are welcome to join in.
Junior training: this will take place on Saturday, 2:30pm from CBS.
Training: cycling: we will be going for another long one this Sunday – around the lake, via Birr. We will do an extended lake cycle with one stop at the 65 mile mark in Mountshannon. If you are doing M2M make sure you don’t miss this. We will meet up at 7:00am at Tesco car park. Make sure to bring plenty of drink and food.
Lake swimming: continues at 6:00pm out in Youghal. Water temperatures are perfect, so no more excuses….
Hook or By Crook & Boruman – the triathlon season is well and truly underway, with two triathlons taking place this weekend. Boruman is the local one, and it’s looking like the majority of our triathletes will be heading for the Shannon, while a few are taking on the National Series Race, ‘Hook or By Crook’. Best of luck to you all.
Paddy Flanagan Memorial & Donamon Grand Prix: our cyclists will be heading to either Newbridge or Roscommon to race this weekend. Best of luck to you all. A report is always welcome.
Kilkee/HOTW Accommodation: Majella is now collecting money from those of you who are staying in Kilkee, weekend of ‘Hell of the West’. You can drop it down, or meet up with her at one of the bike or pool training sessions.
