Best of luck to everyone that is racing this weekend. The big cycling race is Rás Dun na nGall and it is great that we have a team entered in this. The girls are also in action in Meath and hopefully enough of our male cyclists will pluck up the courage to head to Cork for the next Munster race. There are plenty of triathlons on this weekend too, but none of the big races so we don’t expect to see many in action.
Club Gear: has been delivered. Kenneth will be away this weekend racing so don’t be annoying him till next week. We will arrange a day for collection or give him a text yourself and sort something out.
Saturday Cycle: cycle will leave hotel at 9:00am. Route this weekend will take us from Nenagh – Roscrea – Templemore – Thurles – Killcommon – Dolla – Nenagh. Club will do warm up cycle to Roscrea, where group will split into two. First group will be given a five minutes head start on back group. Aim will be for both groups to roll through from Roscrea to Thurles, where we will re-group and continue cycle to Nenagh. For those of you taking on the M2M challenge, a group will be meeting up at hotel at 8:00am to get in few extra miles.
Nenagh CC Juniors: there will be no training this Saturday. For older juniors, you are invited to tag along with club cycle and turn back around half way mark if you so wish.
Sunday Cycle: group will meet in Tesco car park at 8:00am, for usual lake cycle. As per last few weeks, we will extend route in preparation for Mizen to Malin by continuing route into Limerick from Killaloe, before turning back for Nenagh.
Sunday Swim: will meet at 6:00pm Youghal.
Upcoming run: there is a 5km run on in Ballinree at 12:00 this coming Sunday. Registration is at 11.00am, and run is from Bishop Harty National School. If you want to become a good triathlete then getting used to racing this 5km distance is the way to go.
