Club Notes (updated)

Reports for the Nenagh Summer League and Dromineer Duathlon will be up online soon! We better let ye all know what is on the schedule for this weekend first though.

Racing: Valentia Triathlon – the first open water tri of the season takes place down in Valentia today. It is a sprint distance race and we should have a few members at this one (think I heard Barry and Eddie were going to it and probably a few more), so best of luck to ye all – send on a report and photos later!!

The Crotty Cup – takes place in Kilmihil, Co. Clare at 3:00pm tomorrow. If you are A4 then this race is a good one to target. Decent chance of getting some points on the board. Keith, Brian, Kevin, Stephen, Kenneth and Shane are some that are going to it. Get in contact with Shane if you need a lift. For race details >> Crotty Cup Facebook

Junior Training: takes place at 2:30, meeting at the CBS.

Training: the usual senior cycle takes place tomorrow at 9:00am at the hotel. The route is below. Those doing Mizen to Malin should consider starting at 8:00 or do extra afterwards.

Racing: St. Finbarrs cycling club are running an A2/A3 race and a separate A4 race on Sunday in Whitechurch Co. Cork. 11:00am sign on with the A4 race starting at 1:00pm.

Training: In preparation for M2M, we are going on a long cycle on Sunday with an early start – 7:00am from Tescos. Our route will take at least 6 hours to do. Its one we have done before and it tends to be a tough one so don’t miss it. We will head over to Kinnitty and the Cut / Wolftrap. There will be an option to avoid the hills if you want (turn back for Kinnitty at Clonaslee). We will have a food stop in Kinnity (on the way back – 55 mile point). The fun won’t stop there as we will be heading over to Portumna and then the draggy finish via Puckaun. A short second stop will more than likely be needed but we haven’t planned for one yet. Route is below.
