Club Notes

Another exciting weekend of training and racing action in store for everyone.

– One result from last week to update you on:

Darren Dunne – 5th in Senior Schools Cross Country – Darren is getting back to his best form slowly but surely. Last Sunday he was 5th senior boy home while running for Nenagh CBS. It is great to see Darren putting in the type of performance we know he is capable of. Hopefully this is the start of a big year for him.

– Weekend Training

Mizen to Malin wannabes should target both training sessions!

Saturday Spin: Nenagh – Dunkerrin – Clough – Borris – TerryGlass – Puckaun is the route for this training spin. Everyone knows the story at this stage. There will be two interval sessions. Try and make it an even split in the bunch and don’t have people out the back straight away. Those that are looking to do Mizen to Malin should think about starting at 8:00am so as to get in an extra hour.

Older juniors – Seán, Calvin, Tom, Jake, Aaron, Denis etc – make sure to turn up to this session. Bring plenty of food and a mobile. You need to start getting the full distance in. Be smart, don’t overdo it!

Sunday Spin: meet at Tescos at 8:00am.

– Weekend Racing

Rás Maigh Eo: Kenneth, Shane, Eoin W, Kevin S and Matty are heading up to Westport racing on Saturday and Sunday. They have a good chance of doing well so hopefully they can produce the goods.

Blarney: The 1st round of the Women’s National League takes place on Sunday. Our women’s team are heading down to this so best of luck to them. There is also a full men’s racing programme on there so try and make it if you can.

Gear order – if you want to order gear (tri or cycling) get in contact with Kenneth asap – 087-2028964
