Cycling News: After a great season representing Nenagh CC, Simon Ryan has switched his attention to the track where he is now cycling for Arcane Adamstown CT. Simon recently recorded a great result coming 2nd in the National Omnium Championships on the Sundrive track in Dublin. The Omnium consists of 8 different track races, with Simon winning the TT and coming 2nd in the points race. The club wish Simon all the best for the rest of the season and would like to thank Simon & his father Peter for their help this year.

Saturday Cycle: the club will continue to focus on longer distance cycles. This week we will try a 115km cycle starting at 8:00am from the pool. There will be a number of suitable turn off points for beginner cyclists, juniors and those that had one too many at Cliodhna McGrath and James Sheary’s wedding! Juniors should try to get to Dolla before turning off. After Dolla, the speed in the bunch will pick up and there will be some interval training done.
