Club Notes

Today’s Training: make the most of the fine weather and come to our run session at 6:15pm. We start from the CBS school and run out on the roads at a slow-ish pace. Some will run 5km and some will run 10 mile. Do whatever you can.

Best of luck to all our club members racing this weekend. There are a good few heading into Killaloe to support our neighbouring tri club’s (BorĂº tri club) first running of the Boruman sprint distance triathlon. Some are also heading to the NS race in Mullaghmore in Sligo. I am sure there are others taking part in cycling and running races too. Let Shane know how you get on.

Sunday Open Water Swim: judging from the Dromineer Triathlon swim times, many in our club could do with practicing their open water swimming. Youghal on Sunday at 6:00pm is the place to do this.

10km run race in town this Sunday: don’t forget about The Blues 10km at 10:30am this Sunday. It’s not often we get to do races in our home town so it is well worth supporting. See poster below for more details. This is ideal preparation for the Nenagh Run Fest

Nenagh-CC-logoJunior Cycling training: well done to all our juniors that conquered Coum yesterday. It’s a tough one! There is no junior training this Saturday so you can either join up with the senior cycle at 8:30am outside the pool or you can organise your own cycle. The Lucan junior race is called off so there is no big race this week either. DO NOT spend the weekend on the couch watching tv!!!!

Saturday Spin: leaves from the pool at 8:30am. Beginners and juniors should try to make it this week – tag along for a few miles before turning for home. The route is a new one. Beginners and juniors should look to get to Birdhill and turn off for home there – return home the main road or via Portroe. Make sure to bring food and water with you and a spare tube!
