Club Notes

summer-leagueNenagh Summer League: takes place this evening at 7:00pm at Gooig. How far are you going to get? How fast are you going to go? Roll out from Nenagh at 6:05pm. If you are feeling a little bit tired and a little bit sorry for yourself then snap out of it and get your ass to this race. The only legitimate excuse for missing this is if you were gunned down or you have volunteered to marshal at it. We have two volunteers already, that leaves us looking for just one more!

Junior Training: takes place at a new place and time – 2:00pm today at the Five Alley Pub on the Limerick Road. We are going to make use of the bike lanes as it is better for safety. If ye are extremely lucky you might get to discover a brand new hill today called Coum. It is a lovely little hill used in the Visit Nenagh Classic. I predict plenty of tears of joy today!

Racing – have any of our juniors any intention of racing this Saturday in Lucan? If so, then let Shane know at training today. We have to organise lifts if there will be a crowd. If any of our senior riders plan on racing in Lucan then get in contact.

Dromineer Triathlon – Race 2: results were published last night >> click here to view. Photos aren’t available yet. Eoin says the problem is linked to the size of Keith’s head in the photos. Unfortunately, it is just too big.

Anyone selling a bike? we are on the look out for a second hand bike €400/€500 for a 5’9″ rider. If you know of anyone selling then get in contact.

Have you entered the Lough Derg Sprint yet? don’t leave it until the last minute. Register online today! We don’t want to see club members turning up on the day looking to be squeezed in! Why not try to put a relay team together? send Shane a text if you want to swim, cycle or run a leg of the triathlon and he will sort out a team for you. This is a great way to experience the atmosphere of a triathlon and it gives you another good workout – you never know – you might do the full thing next year.

LDS Volunteers: we have had plenty of people putting their names forward so far, but we need between 10 & 15 more to be sure of a safe race. Can you give up your morning to help us out? text Shane 0872605743 if you can.
