Club Notes

New Friday evening run starts today! Meet at the CBS at 6:15pm. 

The plan is for us to do a short warm-up in the CBS and then head out onto the roads. Everyone will start together but it will likely split into similar ability groups after a while.

  • Shane will be running with the faster/longer distance runners. That group will aim to run 10 miles but there will be turn off points where you can head for home early if you have had enough. The pace for this will start at 8 min miles and each mile will be 5 seconds faster = the further you go the tougher it will get.
  • Martin will be running with the beginner/shorter distance runners. Some in this group will be aiming for 10km but most will just do 5km. It will be taken at a slower pace than the long distance group. For beginners, try out the 5km route and run/walk as much of it as you can.

 

Junior Racing on Sunday: there are 3 or 4 juniors heading to the Leahy Cup in Cobh with us on Sunday. The race starts at 10:30am in Cobh, so this means we will be on the road pretty early. We will be leaving Nenagh at 7:30am from Melrose estate in Nenagh. Arrive at 7:20 to put your gear in the van. Sunday lake swim: there were 10 swimmers at last week’s open water swim in Youghal. Lets try and get a few more out at this one. The swim starts at 6:00pm out in Youghal. See you there.

 
Saturday Cycles

Senior Cycle: starts at 8:30 from the pool. The route we will be taking is below. Beginner cyclists are welcome. Tag along as fa r as you can before turning for home.

Junior Cycle: starts at 2:30pm in the CBS.
