Club Notes

summer-leagueNenagh Summer League: takes place this evening at 7:00pm at Gooig. It should be a decent day weatherwise, so get out and test yourself. Roll out from Stereame car park at 6:05 SHARP.

If you can volunteer to marshall: send Shane a text 0872605743. We would prefer if people took part but if you are sitting at home doing nothing then you might as well volunteer!

Nenagh CC Juniors: there is training today after school at 4:30pm. We will have some gear available for our juniors to try on at this training session.

Saturday Cycle

The weather for the weekend is going to be very good. Before you head off to the beach or barbeque try and get your weekend off to a good start with our early morning cycle. This week’s cycle is a bit longer than usual – we gotta build up the miles if everyone is to get through our end of season 100 mile cycle challenge! The route is 107km or 67 miles. There will be a quick food stop at Daly’s Cross. If you have had enough at this point then head straight back for Nenagh if you are able for more then we will head towards O’Briens Bridge.

Start: 8:30 at the pool car park.

Beginners & Juniors – the pace for the first 25 miles or so will be slow and steady. Try and make it to Toomevara and then Dolla before turning back to Nenagh = 40km. If feeling strong try and include the hill at Dolla before turning for home = 48km. Racing bikes and helmets are needed for this cycle. Now is as good a time as any to start cycling with our club!!
