Club Notes

summer-leagueNenagh Summer League: takes place this evening at 7:00pm. Roll out from Stereame car park at 6:05pm SHARP. As most of our club chickened out of the time trial yesterday it is very important to bounce back today! The weather won’t be an excuse this evening. If you miss two races in a row then the problem is you!!! As usual, we want to see a big crowd at this. It is Nenagh CCs big weekly race so it’s important to attend. Each week you should aim to do a little better than the week before.

  • We have 2 volunteers for marshaling but can always do with 1 or 2 more – text Shane if you don’t plan on cycling & want to help out.

Junior Cycle Training: today at 4:30pm from the CBS. Time to get back on your bike!

Club TT Race 3: the torrential rain scared off most people from yesterday evening’s time trial. In the end, the rain eased just before the start at 7:00pm and a few brave souls jumped on their bikes and made their way to the hospital to take part. Dan Hogan was 1st off and the only person to do the long route, finishing it in a fast time of 53.21. In the 23km distance first was Eoin Buckley 41.10, 2nd was Daniel Gallaher 41.45, 3rd was Will Rymer 44.00 and 4th Eoin O’Connor 44.48. In the 15km distance Julie White finished in a new women’s record time of 24.29. We also had one junior Calvin O Brien who finished it in 36.45 which is a great time by the young man and a big thank you to Gary Scully who went home got changed and brought Calvin around. Well done once again to all who turned up. Darren Dunne claims he did the 15km course earlier in the day but we are uncertain whether he just dreamed this or not! His final time was 23:46.
