Club Notes

Friday Evening Run: is on today at 6:15pm in the CBS.

Text List: a group text was sent yesterday. If you didn’t receive it then that means you are not on our list. If you want to be on that list then text your name to Shane (087)2605743.

Thursday Junior Cycle: great numbers once again at our Thursday cycle. At last we have mastered the art of cycling two up. By ‘mastered’ I mean it is no longer a life or death situation! We also learned three important things at this training session (1) Liam does NOT like hills (2) Chris is going to kick butt when he gets a loan of a racing bike to train on (3) our juniors are allergic to wearing gloves – its frickin freezing out there – buy a pair of €1 magic gloves!!

Next up is the big one. On Saturday we will be heading towards Moneygall (31km). Whether we make it there or not depends on the amount of whinging and crying going on. I have two words to say to ye – toughen up!! Lets do it.

Club Launch: it was great to see so many people taking time out of their busy schedules to attend our club launch. The committee would like to thank ye all. The meeting itself was short and sweet as always. Poses were struck for photos and plenty of tea and coffee was had by all. Check out the Guardian next Wednesday to see if you pulled a whopper of a pose. Now that we are offically launched it is time to get out training and racing and wearing the club jersey with pride!

Next up – Saturday cycling – our senior training group is splitting in two with one group heading around the lake starting at 8:00am from the pool. Another, more adventurous group are heading over to Ennistymon to take part in the Stephen Roche Atlantic Challenge. Our juniors are then training at 2:30pm in the CBS. Last but not least we probably have a few lads heading to Leinser to race.
