Best of Luck: to everyone racing this weekend. The focus will be mainly on cycling with a number of races taking place in Mayo, Blarney, Boyne and Carrick. The Borrisokane 10k is on this Sunday so hopefully a few club members will be at that. There are a couple of duathlons on as well in Fingal and Clare so best of luck to our representatives there. Lastly, best of luck to the lads racing down in Dingle over the weekend – make sure to pace yereselves!
Make sure to let Shane know if you were racing for Mondays report.
Good day for cycling: tomorrow is looking like being a nice day for cycling. First up is our senior cycle at 9:00am – hopefully our racing cyclists won’t forget to keep supporting this cycle when they can – if you are not racing tomorrow then this is the cycle you should be going on! Next up is our junior training session at 2:30pm. With Shane and Gary both taking part in Rás Mhaigh Eo and Kenneth going on a stag, we need our other coaches to make sure to turn up and help out.
Bank Holiday Monday: There won’t be any track running this coming Monday.
Thursday Junior Cycle: we had a very large turn out for our junior cycle on Thursday. Everyone is progressing at a fast rate, so much so that a cycle out to Toomevara and back is proving far to easy for most! We got to practice some two up and three up cycling efforts on the way home and it is clear that people’s bike skills are improving. There is a need to always stay focused on the road – I am sure the 3 lads that took a tumble can vouch for this!!!
