This year the 2016 Tipperary Women’s Mini Marathon was held in Thurles, with hundreds of runners, joggers and walkers taking part in the event. The majority of our female club members participated with a few of our male members also, who took up the challenge of dressing in pink. The event attracted over 50 on the ‘Best BooB Forward’ team which was made up of our club member’s, their family and friends. The team signed up in support of raising funds for the Breast Cancer Clinic, University Hospital Limerick. Tipperary Sports Partnership donated €200 to the largest number of participants to register as a group for a charity. This year it was ‘Best BooB Forward’ who received the generous donation. So well done all!!
Rachel Clancy was the only member to actively compete in the event, coming in 4th female. All other club members along with their family and friends, took it on as a recovery and sociable occasion, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
